Terms of Use

1. Who provides the service and when these terms apply

The service would be provided by [full legal name of entity], whose registered address is [legal address] and whose support and privacy contact is [email address]. These details must be completed and verified before these terms are published or accepted.

When creating an account or using Louvelle, the adult would need to accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy. The acceptance, date, language and version must be recorded. Anyone who disagrees should not create an account or use the service.

These terms do not replace mandatory rights held by consumers, families or children. Any more protective rule that applies will take precedence.

2. Who may use Louvelle

The primary account is intended for an adult. Only a parent or legal guardian with sufficient authority should create and manage child profiles. A child is not expected to open an independent account or accept a contract on behalf of an adult.

The minimum age for opening an account and the parental authorisation method must be set for each market before registration opens. Consent ages differ between countries. Age checks, adult consent and, where required, a child’s participation or assent must be implemented under local law.

The adult represents that the information they provide is accurate, that they are authorised to manage each profile and that they will explain the service to the child in an age-appropriate way. The account must not be shared with people outside the authorised household or family group.

3. What the service provides

Louvelle is being defined as a learning platform that may include educational games, subject exercises, difficulty levels, skill progress, achievements, game elements and reports for the adult. Available features may vary by version and country.

Content is educational and general in nature. It is not a diagnosis, therapy, medical advice or official assessment, and it does not replace teachers, professionals, school or family support. Results describe interactions with platform activities, not a complete measure of a child’s ability.

The platform is initially being prepared in Spanish, French and English. Activities, features and translations may not be available in all three languages at the same time.

4. Family account, profiles and security

The adult would be responsible for protecting their sign-in details, reviewing account activity and promptly telling us if they suspect unauthorised access. They should use a unique password and keep their recovery email current.

A child profile may save an alias, an adult-selected learning level and progress data such as answers, completed activities, scores, duration and achievements. A learning level alone does not represent the child’s exact age.

The adult will be able to review and correct profiles and request their deletion through the controls provided. A child should not be asked for a full name, address, school, phone number, precise location or their own contact details to play.

5. Acceptable use and safety

The account may only be used for legitimate personal and family purposes. The adult must supervise the child’s use and help them interact respectfully.

• Do not try to access another person’s account, data, systems or profile, or bypass security, consent or age controls.
• Do not introduce malware, interfere with the service, copy it at scale, reverse engineer it where the law does not permit this, or overload its infrastructure.
• Do not upload illegal, violent, sexual, discriminatory or abusive material, or content that exposes a child’s identity or private information. Open chat, direct messages and unrestricted posting are outside the intended initial scope.
• Do not use Louvelle to harass, exploit, profile, contact or solicit information from children.

6. Rules for child profiles

The adult account controls profile creation and settings. Child profiles are private and linked to that account; Louvelle is not intended to offer child directories, profile search, user-to-user messaging or public leaderboards showing children’s names or results.

Personalised advertising must not be shown to children, and their data must not be used for behavioural advertising. A purchase, subscription or other decision that creates a charge must be presented to the adult outside the child’s play space, with the price, renewal and cancellation terms clear before confirmation.

If social interaction, content uploads, artificial intelligence, voice, images or other features that change the risks are added later, a new safety and privacy review, suitable controls and updated terms will be required before they are enabled.

7. Content and rights to use it

The platform, software, design, brand, activities and materials belong to Louvelle or its licensors. While the user follows these terms, they would receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable permission to use the service for family and educational purposes.

Ownership of the software and materials is not transferred. Content may not be resold, redistributed or commercially exploited without written permission, except where the law does not allow that use to be restricted.

The adult would retain rights in any content the platform later allows them to submit. Before enabling those features, Louvelle would explain the technical licence needed to host the content and how it can be removed.

8. Pricing, renewals and purchases

The commercial model has not been defined. If paid features are offered, the total price, currency, taxes, duration, automatic renewal, free trial, cancellation method and refund policy must be shown to the adult before purchase and confirmed through a separate checkout flow.

A child will not be asked to enter payment details, subscribe or persuade another person to buy. Virtual items planned for the game will have no monetary value unless a different feature is expressly disclosed and the required legal controls are adopted.

9. Third-party services

Some features may depend on technical providers such as hosting, authentication, email, strictly necessary analytics or payment processing. The actual provider list, countries and tasks must be published in the Privacy Policy before launch.

Louvelle does not control external services linked from the platform. A link does not mean that Louvelle endorses the service. The adult should review its terms and practices before allowing a child to use it.

10. Changes, suspension and closure

We may update, repair or discontinue a feature for safety, operational, product development or legal reasons. Material contract changes would be announced with reasonable notice, and renewed acceptance would be requested where the law requires it.

We may restrict or suspend an account when needed to protect a child, address a threat, investigate abuse or meet a legal obligation. When safe and lawful, we would explain the reason to the adult and provide a way to request a review.

The adult may close the account. Closure should allow available data to be exported and explain what is deleted, what is retained by law and for how long. The actual deletion schedule must be set before launch.

11. Availability and liability

We would work to keep Louvelle available and secure, but a connected platform may have outages, errors or maintenance. We will notify families of material incidents when reasonably possible.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that an activity will produce a specific learning outcome. Nothing in these terms removes non-waivable rights or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury where required by applicable law.

12. Governing law, complaints and contact

The entity, jurisdiction, dispute process and consumer rules will be determined based on the place of establishment and the markets served. No choice of law will be used to take away mandatory protections available where a family lives.
